Happy Valentine Weekend
These textile postcards and mixed media card came from Tracy. She has a Happiness workbook PDF available for free on her site – have a lookie!
I have 3 stitcheries finished from Nikki Tervo’s Quilting Mouse quilt: “Show and Tell.”
“Button Jar”
“Tape Measure”
At long last 6 weeks after I thought they would be ready (damn you blasted course!) are the Winter cushion covers.
The house design is from Simply Vintage Summer 2014 magazine. I did a mirror image for a 2nd cushion.
To make them seem more Wintery, I used a running stitch on the trees as if they are partly covered in snow.
You can see the silvery shine on the background fabric in this photo.
Machine quilting rows to the edge. Knit looking red fabric border.
Beautiful Valentine flowers making the house smell fresh like Spring.
Thank you for welcoming Lyla in my last post.
Sorry if I am a bit unavailable this week. It is assignment time on Thursday. I’ll be back as soon as I can. I can’t wait for it to be over. Roll on June!
