Sewing Knitting and Crochet
Oh wow has it really been 2 weeks! Ok here is a catch up.
Bungle and Squeak has their 1st new carpet experience. We let them in the room as soon as the fitters left. They enjoyed gallumphing around.
I had a play with some supa dupa extra chunky yarn. Just look at how thick it crochets up.
This duo are something I can share as the lady opened her Christmas present.
They began life as 2 blocks from a quilt, but these were the most apt for her as she is a keen gardener.
I made this block bigger than designed, so it would be a perfect match to the other one.
I had a scrap of aran yarn left over so I began what I hope will end up as a big granny square blanket with lots of left overs in the coming years.
I made myself a bed shawl from this gorgeous shade of supa dupa extra chunky.
A cardi got finished at last for a Christmas present for daughter.
Pumpkinville BOM arrived from the FQ Shop.
With a wonderful crow pattern I ordered for making in the New Year.
I also ordered the Debonaire quilt kit as I think it will go with the new red carpet in the living room.
A few ladies going through rough times have received some lavender bags in my most uplifting fabric.
It reminds me of the 1960s hippy vans, so I have to smile at the gorgeous colours.
Retro Mama had this pattern. As son likes owls I made this dup for him.
Amd also a wallhanging in a mix of denim, felt and cotton fabric.
I had a lot of trouble with the original pattern pieces not looking a thing like the cover picture.
So I did the best I could. I wont make anything else by that company based on that experience.
Anyone else had that?
This apple FQ made a couple of clove scented mats.
Lastly I thought it was about time I made the pattern Stephanie of Loft Creations gave me last Autumn.
2 of the background pieces are made from a jumper I felted. I think it worked well.
The whole quilt can be seen here.
Now I am off to pay visits which are long overdue to you.
