Nearly Christmas Makings Craft Olympics 4

Reds and greens are so Chrstmassy!
Scenes from Martin Mere last month.

Want to see what I’ve been making?

This cup and cake mat is the very last of the last Spinnaker Quilt left overs.
It went down to daughter for her uni room to go with the quilt and cushion cover I made her and the Spinnaker Tower cushion she made herself.
I do like it when I can totally use a fabric up.

Kaffe Fassett’s Spot On collection from the Fat Quarter Shop arrived. A Christmas present for me.
Aren’t they gorgeous!
I’m not allowed to unwrap them, but I looked a lot! 🙂

I bought 2 bunches of chrysanthemums for only £1 in Birkdale Village this week.

“Elf Pond” is now finished.  Making my own design is my 4th Thimble Challenge for the Craft Olympics. You can see why I was waiting on the dark green border fabric now.

If you would like the pdf to be emailed to you, to make this for yourself, please give a donation of any amount to Practical Action here.
My daughter is hoping to raise £855 by the 29th March for them so she can go to Peru in August. She has £232 so far. Thank you so much dear friends. I have been overwhelmed by your generosity. This is a bit about the charity so many of you are helping:

Practical Action helps people use technology in the fight against poverty. It works in partnership with communities to develop practical answers to their problems, based on local knowledge and skills and putting people’s needs first.

“Welcome to the North Pole” by Piece of Cake is now finished.

Denim background and a blue dotty border.

I didn’t to a border round as I had this piece of fabric, which was just the right width for the length, without it.

Perfect subject matter too.
If you want to make it then it is available here.
The book includes designs for 2 mats- pics on the link,  if you don’t have time to make the whole quilt.

Feeling Christmassy yet?
