Tour de Fibre 1 + Flowers
Just to prove to myself that it is Summer I took these photos in one of the brief dry intervals.
Bee in a poppy
Convolvulus- bindweed.
Not sure what weed this bee is on.
Clover
Wild Geranium
Rugosa rose.
Here is a first for me- meatloaf. I’ve not made one before but after seeing a recipe in one of the Beth Wiseman Amish books, I thought I would give it a go. One minor problem was that I didn’t have a loaf tin. I improvised with a cake tin. Tasted good. 🙂
Tour de Fibre
I have done a very brave/foolhardy thing. I have joined Hanne and May Britt’s Tour de Fibre. I have chosen 4 projects to do. Above is the first one “Fairies At Play”. It has 7 stitcheries. I have now finished 2.
This one is called “Isabella Dreaming on a Mushroom”
So 2 down and 5 to go.
My 2nd project involves these fabrics.
They are the backing for
“Fox and Friends” by Lynette Anderson. I have been working for most of the day on it with a very thick wadding. I’m very pleased at how it turned out. The binding is a green dot. So one of my 4 is now finished!!
My 3rd of the 4 is “Welcome to the North Pole” by Piece of Cake Designs.
My 4th I can’t share yet as I am hoping to take photos at each stage. It is a tree sculpture.
