Grey Days, Rich Fabrics
It’s been like this all week, and will be like this for another week. It has been the wettest Spring since records began.
If it carries on like this then it will be the wettest Summer too. These photos are of Lake Windermere.
A familiar scene for Jemima Puddleduck fans.
We went across Windermere on the ferry.
I kept thinking of how it felt like Autumn.
Even the sunsets reminded me.
So is it any wonder I have been making Fox and Friends in such gorgeous Autumn colours?
The cream border is now hand appliqued.
The outer border is all sewn on.
I will piece a back. This rich red leaf fabric seems just right.
I’ve played a bit with the strips left from the log cabins. There are still a few more left.
There have been some exciting deliveries. Thank you Ulla. I will share what is inside the tin later.
And another parcel from Deb. Thank you Deb.
I have cut the backgrounds already for the Christmas quilt in denim scraps.
I will leave you now with some more shades of grey. 2 pigeons on a flat roof drinking and preening.
