A bit closer- what amazing detail! Love the colours.
View of Bootle Docks, Liverpool.
The beach was full of worm casts and razor shells. They are called that because they resemble the old fashioned cut throat razors.
A little dog walked this way.
The oil like colours on this shell were so pretty.
Old bricks and stones worn smooth by the sea.
Some iron men are reclaimed by the sea when it comes in.
The views from these new Art Deco ish flats must be amazing.
Now I have finally got some makings to share with you. A couple of cushion covers based on Lynette Anderson’s ones from her book “It’s Quilting Cats and Dogs“
Hand blanket stitched applique.
Outlined in machine quilting. To do this there is a layer of batting and a backing of calico so the front inside is very neat.
Instead of Lynette’s labrador I added a greyhound as these are for a raffle prize tomorrow in aid of GRWE. They are the charity I work for when I’m not blogging or making things. A few of the dogs they find a home for are in the link.
Show opens at 11am and the fun dog show starts at 12pm, lots of classes (ALL BREEDS WELCOME!) with trophies, rosettes and prizes to be won!
As well as the dog show, there will be lots to do and see including some fantastic dog displays and why not try your dog in the Have-a-go-Agility ring! Prizes for fastest times of the day! We have a professional photographer on site all day ready to take some amazing pet portraits and there will be stalls galore selling a whole variety of gifts for you and your dog!
We will also have a tombola and raffle and plenty of refreshments available not forgetting an appearance from our gorgeous kennel dogs looking for homes oh and a cuddle of course!
