Yesterday

Here is the sun setting on yesterday.
It was a surprising and lovely day. Do you remember me telling you about the Stayokay in Arnhem where son stayed and forgot to bring home his gifts to us. The Stayokay couldn’t find them. I said thank you for trying. Although I declinined their very kind offer to post something to him, they sent 2 keyrings with little clogs on. It was very kind and thoughtful of them. I will see if a little of England can join them as a thank you.
Summer -part of an on-going project.
Yesterday I was at the quilt show in the NEC in Birmingham. I think it was the biggest show in England. It was also my 1st quilt show. I wasn’t sure what to expect but the lovely Lynette Anderson was there.
Yes she of Christmas Friends, Crazy Christmas, Gathering of Crows, Scandanavian Christmas, and of course Pond House.
Here’s a new one for your shelves packed full of things from quilts, purses, pincushions, bags etc. Well worth the money as it’s wonderful. I’ve already picked out my 1st project from it. Now what’s the betting it wont resemble the tasteful colours she designs them in? 🙂
Here is my haul of loot from the day- fabric, freezer paper, handles, patterns a wonderful Burmese patch (to help the Burmese refugees) big ric rac, fine needles, silver fittings for earrings, and of course the book, a bag and a seam ripper from Lynette Anderson’s stall.

If you can, then do go to the show- last day today I think.
The rest of the blog post are a few of the quilts I saw. More next time. Click to enlarge.
