Peaches and cream stripping

A lovely card came today from Ulla- love the red shoes tulips and duck in the border as well as the main pic of the cow writing. Sorry about the flash. Thank you Ulla. 🙂
This is what I’ve been making- using up the strips of peach and cream left from other projects.
I joined bits of a similar colour into huge long lines, then sewed them together and cut them into blocks so some blocks show the join in fabrics mid block.
The backing was pieced too as close to the original pattern as I could make it. It will be a gift for a relative facing surgery.
This is a table mat back.
The front matches the quilt and is from it’s left overs.
These large cup mats are from the left overs of that. After doing the binding on the quilt I was just a tiny bit short for the last cup mat so I improvised (top right cup mat) with the left over table mat binding. This really is a fun string challenge which Stephanie is running. I have used up so many biddy bits which were loitering.

I’m now working on the Halloween colours which are already cut into strips from other project left overs. It’s lovely to de-clutter!
