Winter Solstice makings.

It’s the shortest day of the year- Winter Solstice. I woke up to a magical scene this morning- more snow and a yellowy-pink light filling the room.

Beautiful skies. I would so like a white Christmas and singing along with Bing Crosby.

So now back to the latest bits and pieces:
This bag is finished- it is very thickly padded so should be strong.

I had some fun with different stitches on my machine.
The snowman sleigh is also finished.
Love the reindeer feet.
and the snowman’s smile.
This is the last gift on my list to be made now. Just the binding to hand sew this evening.
I will then make a choir of angels for us in my sort of loud colours. I think Angels look good in Kaffe Fassett robes. The wings are gold sparkly, and the stars are silver sparkly. I do like sparkly. Perhaps I was kept away from the glitter pot too much as a child? LOL
I have selected fabrics for a pieced border. The tiny bit in the top right corner will be the binding. I think nearly all my Kaffe Fassett fabrics will go into this one. Oh I am going to have so much fun with it.

Merry Christmas everyone. 🙂 May your day be as sparkly as this wallhanging and just as much fun.
