Buying Looking Making Reading Cooking
It’s been raining a lot here so the skies have been spectacular.
Inside the old toaster caught fire so this is the new one. Must get black dots and a face sticker to make it look like a ladybird. 🙂
I found these wonderfuls to match. Bright and cheery so perfect for Christmas.
In town there was a display of things local school children had made.
I was very impressed with these cupcakes.
Papier mache? stiff bodices and paper skirts.
Amazing sculpture.
So much young talent.
Owls galore at the bottom.
Daughter said this 3d effect was done with modrock like part of her woodland scene for her exam back in the Summer.
So you are probably wondering what I have been making. A wool star with a pumpkin on. 3 pumpkins, and a couple of painted crows.
With quite a few bits to go in the pot.
I also sorted a little November RAK parcel to Deb. We agreed to make and swap a couple of cushion covers with a seaside theme.
I added some little coasters from the left overs.
Shells and ice cream cushion cover fronts.
Pink check backs (same on the coasters too).
For those who are fans of the film “The Amazing Mr Blunden” I have found the actual manor house! I was so excited- it is a proper manor Heatherden Hall now part of Pinewood Studios near London. There are some external photos here. The film/book is part of my top 10 viewings/readings for this time of the year. Here are my others:

I hope you have some old favourites in the list too. If not what are your favs at the moment?
The chest freezer needed defrosting so yesterday I had a cooking day using up the final contents: a sausage casserole, a coupe of shepherds pies, a couple of lasagnes, and 3 choc mousses- cherry brandy and plain chocolate, white chocolate and orange and milk chocolate.
