Front Garden Autumn Quilt WIP

Come and take 5
Hi welcome to the front garden, watch out for the hebe as you close the gate.
Yes the lavender really is 5ft after all the rain we’ve just had.

Even the connifers have grown.

The palm tree in the sun.
Flowers are still peeping through all this lush growth.

Some grasses have set seed.

Hollyhocks have flower buds
I think this is thyme or margoram about to flower.

The dragons on the doorstep.

Precious looking cute- please ignore her unless you like having a greyhound on the end of your nose. Yes she really is that friendly. If you like greyhounds Lisa Ballard in Alaska has a lovely Etsy site. I have her VW with Greys Driving (Iggybug) print.

If you love colourful quilts a Hull lady Spiralsun65 has some gorgeous ones I wish I could afford on pages 2 and 3.

This is how far I’ve got with the Summer Stash Challenge -an Autumnal Quilt
Ironed fabric rolled up ready for use.
Background fabric left, and sashing fabric right. There will be a dark green between the 2.
The fabric collection I’d going to use.
Work so far in approximately the finished positions.
Top right detail

Now for the gos:
Good news first- some loggerheaded turtles have been nursed to health and taken to the canary islands and released.

Bad news- Tesco wont improve their chicken welfare standards. They want to continue to sell whole chicken for £1.99 that aren’t very healthy for us to eat and have been raised in bad conditions. Here’s the news article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7476829.stm

On another note after asking Thornberry for a twit proof guide on how to crochet she pointed me at You tube! check it out- it’s amazing! I may end up learning this dark art after all!
