Even more Christmassy bits

A basket like the others with a shimmery pink lining and raspberry pockets under the handle endings. Trimmed in a rose with raspberry fabric leaves. Top secret for daughter whose middle name is Rose and fav colour is red. Inside is quilted like the yellow one, with squares.
The lonely middle snowman is at last joined by his big bro and little bro. 🙂
“Oh the weather outside is frightful,
but the fire is so delightful,
as long as there’s no place to go,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow”.

I’m feeling seasonal now.
Daughter made herself a pencil case.
She loved doing the bead work. Hmm I feel a plan coming on.
Back of pencil case with a strawberry flower and leave with her initial beaded. Oh yes there was no stopping her once she knew she could do it. 🙂 Brilliant. I love her ideas.
This is what I was sewing while she was sewing her pencil case. A Christmas themed needlework case. The general idea came from the one I made at Patched Pumpkin.
The star is a pincushion, the heart a scissor case and the pocket is for a thimble and card of threads. Working in wool felt rather than acrylic felt is so lovely. It feels nice as you embroider.

Today I finally went out in the cold weather and bought a load of cinnamon sticks. I have a plan for them with glue, orange slices, and son. Hee hee hee. Manical laughter and rubbing of hands. I read Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby so I know what can happen. LOL

I’ve also wrapped 2 big boxes of Christmas presents ready for the post. I am feeling so Christmassy now. I want to be playing Christmas Carols but somehow mid November feels a bit soon. Am I going to peak with excitement too early and get to be a grinch “bah humbug”-ing by Christmas Day? LOL

How was everyone else’s weekend?
