Sunsets and Sea- Couple time.

IMG_0589

We’re back and nearly caught back up with ourselves.

IMG_0592

Our first 2 week holiday since our honeymoon.

IMG_8297

We needed some couple time after all the strain for the last few years.

IMG_8312

So we explored together,

IMG_8339

visited an old winery,

IMG_8392

changed my whole concept of “forest” into that of a fairy tale land, with twisting trails that may never lead anywhere.

IMG_8491

Then there were the skies and sunsets

IMG_8498

Even the sun wore shades! lol

IMG_8514

And that relaxing sound of the sea and the way the light played on its surface.

IMG_8559

We needed this couple time to explore who we were and see if we still got on as individuals rather than Mum and Dad figures.

IMG_8560

Slowly we unwound like springs which were too tightly coiled for too long.

IMG_8562

We started to talk like a couple rather than a family.

IMG_8563

We read books and took photographs.

IMG_8564

We slowed down.

IMG_8664

The sunsets from our balcony overlooking the sea fed pool were beautiful.

IMG_8671

Colours and textures.

IMG_8681

The stars seemed closer so I zoomed into Venus. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves.

IMG_8685

We woke to the sound of waves.

IMG_8945

We felt closer to the landscape and what is real about life.

IMG_8950

There was time for history and archaeology. (I will share later).

IMG_8968

But most of all there was time for us as individuals,

IMG_8976

And as a couple.

IMG_8981

We are close again and can see where we are going.

IMG_8992

We picked up a little passenger for our journey Tia Maria, arriving in July. There were 5 others I wished I had space for.

IMG_9242

So now we are more relaxed and more focussed.

IMG_9773

Prepared for the next stage of our lives together.

IMG_9812

The only way is up!
