Quick Craft Update- Bees and Teas.
My 1st ever lace panel socks are finished.
Close up of the lace insert- 2 per sock.
My heart was in my mouth a bit when I was making these just in case I made a horribly noticeable mistake.
For myself I prefer non draughty socks thankfully.
Another pair of birthday socks are on the needles.
After reading Tracy’s post on tea, I was all inspired to make some little tea wallets using the same tutorial she had used.
The bee wallet opens up to reveal tea pots- it will be for a friend who has a thatched cottage and a love of wood (wooden button).
A plain blue one is a gift for my uncle. I found the perfect odd button!
It opens to a Kaffe Fassett mosaic fabric. He’ll like that as he is studying Archaeology.
The of course I had to make one for myself as we will be doing a bit of gadding this month.
The button is a special ceramic one from Waterperry Gardens back home in Oxfordshire.
The fabric is a Kaffe Fassett dot, which opens into one of my fav multicoloured dot fabrics.
Ta Da! A lovely morning’s work.
This is my current wip. It is at the “procrastination border” stage.
The design is Full Bloom by Lynette Anderson but instead of her stitcheries there are tea pot labels by Debbie Munn.
One day I will have time to make it properly with the stitcheries for myself.
The Debbie Munn floral fabrics on black were all donated by Simone, as were the labels.
It will go to Freshfields Rescue when it is finished.
