End of the world makings so far

So the world didn’t end today then? Not much of a surprise. It’s the Winter Solstice though so the start of a new season and according to the Mayan calendar the start of a new cycle.
With this in mind I made a list of what changes I wanted to make in my life.
Above: hats for Lovely Husband and Daughter are the blue leftovers from daughter’s cardi (shared earlier)- not sure what happened in the pic.
I did a bit of DK crochet with the final bits.
Beautiful jewellery by Tracy had a pouch made for them before they were wrapped.
This varigated yarn King Cole Mirage in Helsinki shade, made a hat and narrow scarf for Son.
This is my version of Doc designed by Schnibbles. I used Petite Odile by French General. I hope to make more Schnibbles in the New Year.
Detail of backing and binding. It is all wrapped now.
This cushion cover is designed by Yvonne W.
She also painted the buttons (wreath and welcome sign on the door) with the tiniest brush imaginable.
This little wallhanging, also designed and painted by Yvonne W. was a gift for commenting on her blog.
Thank you Yvonne!
She sells buttons here. Aren’t they gorgeous!
Now wouldn’t we all like a Kaffe Fassett Christmas cracker?
I simply had to make this covered bolster cushion cover.
This is my project over Christmas. A 25″ cushion cover. In the centre it reads:
“I will honour
Christmas
In my heart
And try to keep
it all the
year”
Dickens
Heart detail -aren’t the mice cute!
A knitted looking fabric for the mittens.
Knitted looking bauble detail with holly.
It hasn’t been all wrapping and last minute making here. I had some lovely brooches in the post from Simone above and Ulla below. Thank you so much ladies. I appreciate your friendship so much.
