Daring in the air and Oooohing on the ground

 The Blades Aerobatic Display Team.

 Most were in the Red Arrows when they were in the RAF. Now they are civilians and offer members of the public the opportunity to be a passenger in a display formation.
When I was younger I thought being a wing walker looked like a lot of fun.
It was one serious work out this girl gave on the top of this plane.
 I was quite exhausted just watching.
Now for something much more relaxing:
If I were to have a pond again, I would like some eider ducks- you know the sort- the feathers were made into eiderdown quilts.
 The males look almost like a different breed from the brown (camouflaged) female.

A group were dozing in the Autumn sun last month.
Have a listen and look here -they sound like a lot of WI ladies oooing over some jumble. 
I couldn’t help but smile when I heard them at Martin Mere just up the road.
Now who wouldn’t want to have that sound in their garden?
Sadly Winter has been hitting the NW with hail and strong winds. 
My heart belongs to Autumn with all its jewel-like colours.
Ever since seeing Pumpkinville I have wanted to make it. 
I finally gave in and signed up. 
It will be so different having the fabrics sent to me each month until June instead of scrambling around my stash.
Has anyone else signed up to sew it?
Now the trees are bare, and the most rises in layers in the morning on the Moss.
I keep thinking of deep reds with whites and creams.
I was so tempted by this quilt at The Fat Quarter Shop
I will blame the new carpet we have had fitted in the living room. It is a huge hit with the hounds.
Shade 815 DMC and tricky to photograph accurately!
