Making progress

This little pocket holder is now with Grethe. We met at the Birmingham Quilt Show yesterday.
Outer.
I filled it with things to help her survive in the hotel as she was there for several days.
I will share the gorgeous zipped bag she made me when I have photographed it.
Thank you Grethe for going to so much trouble to meet us.
It’s been raining on and off here.
Huge downpours with sheets of rain,
 Overflowering the downpipes on houses.
I stayed in the craft room and wrapped things.
Cut 13 FQs of various textured fabrics, backing the satin ones as they had a tendency to move.
This quilt of 5″ charms was for Daughter
we played about with the layout.
I sewed them into groups of 9
and we played  about some more.
She came up with this in the end.
Little pieced boats with 2 hull colours
so the quilt goes with her huge Spinnaker Tower cushion.
It looks like this at the moment- waiting for some plain cotton borders. They will come from the £5 Egyptian cotton pack I bought from Empress Mill. They are at the quilt show in Birmingham at the moment, so pop over to stands G31 and G36.
As usual I took loads and loads of photographs. Will share soon.
