16/24 Daily December

2 Angels today as the next 2 days will have 2 halves of a cross.
Winter sky.
Suzie from Little Busy Bee sent this parcel of goodies.
beautiful stars and reindeer which have since gone on the tree.
Chocolate covered gingerbread, beautifully shaped biscuits, lots of sweets for the children’s stockings, and a reaindeer card, not forgetting the beautiful things Suzie has sewn:
Beautiful hand stitched wallhanging and a matching ornie. Thank you so much Suzie for your generosity and the beautiful tasty things. 🙂
Yesterday was a heavy frost- strawberry leaves looking all crystalised.
Frozen dew drops on the grass.
there was a bit of wasteground by the supermarket. Crunchy frosted grass.
Beech tree.
The sun was still rising.
Making interesting silhouettes.
And beautiful skies.
This was the only form of decoration in the supermarket on the ceiling.
Then just by the exit there was this tree.

Now have you heard that perfume keeps out the cold? No? Well I’m totally convinced having seen the adverts on TV last night. Every single person used to advertise perfume was scantily clad in quite draughty clothing. Sooo obviously using perfume keeps out the cold! 🙂 Logic! LOL
In the evening I finished these socks for hubby for Christmas.

I had to undo the sock I had nearly finished as there wasn’t enough yarn to make a full pair from that design. I am trying to still use a 1930s book which has the old fashioned needle size and the yarn measured in ounces and long obsolete. I have put an updated book on my Amazon wish list. 🙂 Still this is what you get from 2 skeins 300m approximately 100g of hand dyed worsted wool. This came from Mulberry Dyer who had a stall at Ludlow castle.

Sooo that’s another tick on my Christmas list! I hope you are all getting on with your lists too. Happy elfing!
