Melting ice
These 2 awards came from Tracy at http://pinkpurl.typepad.com/pink_purl/
Here are the “rules” for sharing these awards with eight other bloggers:
These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these kind writers. When you pass the award along please include these guidelines. You are to choose eight friends to share this with.
I would like to pass both of these on to all my regular readers. 🙂
This award came from Mae at http://i-wol.blogspot.com/
Here are the rules for Christmas award.
You must be a true Christmas lover to receive this award.
The person to whom you give the award must also be in love with Christmas.
You must link back to the person who gave you the award.
You must list 5 things that you love about Christmas.
If you can’t limit it to 5 things, then keep going till you run out of space!
Pass the award along to as many people as you like.
That can be 1 or 45; it’s up to you. But, you must pass it on to at least one person in order to keep the Christmas cheer going!
Let your recipients know that you have tagged them by leaving them a comment.

Well this is the shutting down sale of Woolworths arranged by the receivers. Everything was half price so the queues for pre-Christmas bargains was huge. I hadn’t seen queues this big in Woolworths since before 2003.
Many people in England are sad to see it go, but said they hadn’t shopped there for so long as other shops were cheaper, sold goods they wanted to buy, or had other things in which they wanted to buy so rather than go to several shops they went to the one big one out of town with free parking.
At this time of year when people have lots of presents to carry, having close by parking that is free is more important than the experience of shopping in a town centre. I hope councils will do something soon instead of trying to claw money from parkling revenues at the expense of the shops which are already paying business rates. If they don’t more people will shop on-line and in out of town sites and the town centres will suffer and more shops may follow Woolworths.
Rant over. Promise. 🙂
Ok now we’re going to have a look inside shops to see glimpses of Christmas bits.
Traditional tree.
Quick detail of the Victorian covered walkway outside the shop.
And an untraditional tree.
Marks and Spencer’s goodies. I love the fir cone ones! Click for closer peek.
Now these made me smile- Hunter Wellies are traditionally plain green but just look at these. If the rose ones were at a sensible height I definately would’ve got a pair.
Tinsel trees
Just lookie at these sweet glasses in TK Max with trees engraved on them and candy cane striped stems!
Awww- lovely ornies.
More TK Max trees -so many shapes and sizes.
As I wasn’t allowed to take this £40 santa home, I contented myself with a pic. Isn’t he darling?
And finally a big tree with a santa waving from a hot air balloon. Maybe the reindeer are building up their strength?
I had a lovely time yesterday crafting and laughing until my tears ran. My sides still ache as if I’ve been doing sit-ups from being with a bunch of dear ladies I sew with at Patched Pumpkin. The day and evening were hillarious!
Not sure what tomorrow’s post will be of as I’ve caught up on my gadding about. Ooo mystery- even to me! LOL Hugs friends i hope you enjoy the awards and pass them all on. And yes if you are reading this, you get both the top 2 awards to pass on. I hope you do- its nearly Christmas and we all love sharing.
