Christmas Engelbreit Cushion Covers, Aran progress
Before the frosts we gathered the gourds which had grown from seed.
Not bad for a first try.
I hadn’t sewn all week and thought I would go mad, so I made a couple of cushion covers from Mary Engelbreit’s Caroler fabrics.
Both have centre panels with a red snowflake border, black floral to the sides, black linear flowers to the top and bottoms, blue snowflakes to the sides, knitted blue to the top and bottoms and blue florals to the corners.
They were a fun quick make. The back s are red Makower Spraytime tonal.
“Be warm inside and out”
“A time for sharing”
With cushions inside and on a small sofa. I think they will look better on the big black one, but Bungle is there sleeping peacefully, and I didn’t want to disturb him.
Such cheerful red wellingtons and decorative tights and scarf.
Aren’t scarves such a December thing?
In this cushion it was the coat which attracted me. I can imagine it in a velvet or wool with embroidered flowers.
I am so enjoying Mary Engelbreit at the moment. I even set up a pinterest page with my fav bits for inspiration.
Lastly this is my progress on the Christmas aran jumper for Lovely Husband. I am currently on the raglan of the first sleeve.
I will need to knit faster to get this done in time but I’ve an assignment due on Thursday so it will have to be after that.
