Hearts Hen and Chinese Lantern

I’ve spent the last couple of days in Patched Pumpkin learning new things and making lots of wonderful crafty things. I found this wreath in a charity shop and made the medium hearts from a PP supplied pattern.

This is a pumpkin pattern but with the fabric I chose this is a chinese lantern (Physalis) so now I know how, I’ll be doing a pumpkin to add to my Autumn plans.

These were the largest hearts complete with wings. I made a couple of these in the class. The heart is cotton and the wings flannel.

This is Naomi the long legged chicken. All felt and cotton. I did wonder about adding feathers to her tail.

I was up until 3.30 am last night finishing off oak leaves for an Autumnal wreath. Just 2 leaves to stuff and embroider, then all of them to sew on the ring. Already it looks stunning. I am so pleased with it and it isn’t even done!
