House-Elf Doings 

Eureka!
Having wondered how to get a blog for so long, I now don’t know what to write! Blinking typical. This is why I’ve been writing everything in various books for so long- all my thoughts, ideas for new projects, dreams, shopping lists, to do lists, you name it it has gone in. Then when I’m idea-dead I leaf through.

My current projects:
Medium term- a white cardigan for my daughter with strawberry pockets. She likes designing clothes for me to make for her. This will go perfectly with her strawberry printed dress I made earlier. I’ve knitted the back and one front so far.

My short term project is lavender bag making. The lavender is nearly ready in the garden so I’ll be filling them then.

My long term project is a hand patchwork called “Ice Windows. It is my first hand sewn patchwork (uses paper templates) with octagons and squares. I think it will take half a year to complete. Only 1 of 6 “windows” has been made so far. It was inspired by seeing Lucy Boston’s quilts in Cambridgeshire. Yes THE Lucy Boston who wrote the Green Knowe books.

Now I’ve got to see if this has worked before I work out how to do complicated things like photographs.
